Two time-options: 12.10 - 12.40 & 12.50 - 1.20pm
The Singing Sandwich Project is six-weeks of lunch-break singing sessions on Wednesdays. Whether you're working-from-home, working in central Ringwood, commuting, shopping, retired, home-schooling, on your day-off, or looking for an uplifting mood boost, you are welcome to join us for time-efficient, all-ages, group-singing this Spring.
Group singing is powerful! After decades of research, and thousands of scientific studies, we know group-singing is beneficial to mental health, social connection, physiological health, respiration, heart rate, pain relief, memory, mood, immunity, efficiency, community connection, and wellbeing. The most remarkable finding is that we don't have to be a "good singer" to reap the benefits!
The Singing Sandwich Project will embrace what we already know about the power of group-singing, offer a time-efficient opportunity within the work-day, and create a welcoming and safe space for you to enjoy. The Singing Sandwich Project will meet inside Realm (at Town Square) on the ground floor. Choose from TWO session times: 12.10 - 12.40pm and 12.50 - 1.20pm, or come to both if time allows. In each session we'll learn one well-known, feel-good song and sing it till we're proud. You're free to record our final rendition on your device to take away and enjoy again. Opt to attend single sessions as you are able ($5 per session), or make the most of it by booking one of our TWO package deals: Open Sandwich (6 sessions for $20). This includes any 6 of the 12 sessions. You can opt to come on three of the dates and attend both sessions back-to-back, or alternately one session per week at whichever time suits, or a combo of these. Perhaps a Sandwich-With-The-Lot is more your style (all 12 sessions for $35). Packages may be shared between parties but only ONE person can attend a session at a time. If you want to attend at the same time as your friends, separate packages must be purchased, or single sessions are an option. Cancel by Tuesday 8th October (11:59pm) to receive a credit coupon for use at Just Sing Something events within 12 months. No refunds are possible from Wednesday 9th October when the The Singing Sandwich Project commences. Children aged 15-and-under are welcome and admitted free-of-charge, however they must be accompanied by a participating adult at all times. Online bookings are encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. The Singing Sandwich Project is presented by Just Sing Something, with grateful thanks to Maroondah City Council for the provision of an Arts and Cultural Grant in 2024.

Come and join us, for the final series of the year, singing songs of home. This is a series for adults with previous harmony-singing experience, and yes, school choirs absolutely count! This time, we'll enjoy a, slightly longer, five-week series.
Home is a theme drenched in memory, tradition, joy, regret, and storytelling. Memories of home can be complicated, but they help inform what we believe, who we become, and what we hold dear.
Our repertoire will include gospel, pop, musical theatre & rock ballads, with a mix of a cappella and accompanied songs. You're expected to be willing and available to perform at the concert on 15th November.

LET'S DO IT AGAIN!
Last December, Just Sing Something gathered eighty people together to learn and sing one of the planet's most beloved songs, Handel’s Halleluia Chorus. We're doing it all again this year, only better! Whether you’ve sung it before, or enjoyed from afar, all are welcome.
Pre-learning videos will be available to those who’d like to prepare, and we will begin with sectional rehearsals (soprano, alto, tenor and bass), to accelerate the learning process this year. Our learning style will be a hybrid of by-ear and music reading, and while music reading skills are an advantage, they are not essential. Music will be provided ahead of the session to print out and bring along. All experience levels are welcome.
This is the final Just Sing Something event for 2024. Bring the whole mob for a rousing Christmas curtain-raiser.
