Service Description

Come for a taste of the legendary! Our songs will scale the heights of courageous adventurers, epic plot twists, fable, folk-lore, fairytale, myth, real-life heroes and heroines. In Legends, we'll immerse ourselves in diverse repertoire which may include pop, rock, traditional, folk, R&B, jazz, music theatre, movie themes, classical and gospel styles. Come and enjoy a short-term choir experience concluding with a relaxed public performance for family and friends. Multi-week choir series move apace and are recommended for adults with previous harmony-singing experience. Songs are introduced swiftly in the opening weeks. Seasoned Just Sing Something singers recognise this allows ample time for consolidation at home, and for polishing in our final rehearsals. Participants are strongly urged to attend ALL Wednesday evening rehearsals regardless of their level of experience or learning style. Singing in a choir is a team effort, and we progress a great deal in every session. That said, we all know life can take unexpected turns. Singers MUST be prepared and available to perform at our combined public concert with the Croydon Choir on Sunday 22nd March in Ringwood (call time will be 1.30pm for a 4.00pm show). The concert is expected to conclude at approximately 5.30pm, but as it is a live performance finishing time is not guaranteed. Singers will be asked to provide and store music in a BLACK FOLDER with at least forty A4 plastic sleeves (to allow for up to eighty pages). These are available from Officeworks. Dress code for our concert performance is all BLACK, with a thematic accessory to be discussed at rehearsal. Please note, you have the option to print your own music copies, or have them printed for you for an additional ($20). The choice is yours at the point of booking. Once printed, the music is yours to keep. Online bookings must close at 7pm on Tuesday 3rd February. However, bookings will close if capacity is reached prior to this date. A waitlist will be initiated. Your timely booking is essential to receive all you need prior to the first rehearsal. Songs are purchased based on the make-up and size of the choir. Detailed event information and music to print will be sent by email in the weekend prior to the first rehearsal. If you have not received the event information by Sunday 8th February, please FIRST check your SPAM folder before emailing lucy@justsingsomething.com Hope to sing with you soon!

Cancellation Policy

If cancellation is received fewer than seven calendar days before the start time, no refund is possible due to costs incurred (ie: Events scheduled for a Tuesday must be cancelled by 11.59pm on the Monday, eight days before). Bookings cancelled seven or more days before the event date will receive a credit coupon for the amount paid, less the deductions made by your credit card provider (approximately $2 depending on the deductions made by your card type). The code attached to the credit note will be emailed to the address given when making the booking. This code can be used when booking a future event, and is valid for a single use for up to 12 months. NB: the credit coupon you receive is viable for events being directly managed by Just Sing Something, but not external bodies who engage Just Sing Something to offer events. If 'Just Sing Something' cancels the event at any time, bookings will be refunded in full. No credit coupon will be provided for "no shows" without notification as a place is being held for you.
