Service Description

Come and enjoy a short-term choir experience: six rehearsals followed by a relaxed public performance for family and friends. 'Water' will explore choir repertoire, in a range of genre, about rivers, rain, and oceans. There is a rich collection of songs referencing the wet stuff, so essential to life on Earth. Maybe you Can’t Stand The Rain, or you’re told to Sit Down, You’re Rocking The Boat, but there’s no need to Cry Me A River. Just Wade in the Water, or go Sailing, Beyond The Sea, in My Island Home. Luckily, although the Water Is Wide, it is also …. Shallow. Remember, when all else fails, you can go Down to the River To Pray, build a Bridge Over Troubled Water, or eat Cake By The Ocean. (NB: Songs referenced may not necessarily be included) Singing in a choir is a team effort, so your availability for the concert is a requirement, and you should ideally be able to attend all rehearsals. Online bookings are essential, preferably by 27th January to enable the sourcing, purchase and distribution of all choral arrangements. These purchases can only be made once there's a clear indication of vocal parts represented in online registrations. Digital copies of the music will be provided to you via email prior to the first rehearsal, and participants are asked to print their own hard copy. However, recognising this process is difficult for some, you have the option of the provision of printed copy (yours to keep) for an additional cost ($20pp). Please select your registration type based on your printing requirements. You will also need to provide a BLACK folder with plastic inserts (at least 40 sheet capacity) in which to store your own music for the rehearsals and performance. Music reading ability is useful, but not essential for Multi-Week Choir Series. However, in fairness to others, you DO need to have some experience singing harmony parts (and yes, school choirs absolutely count).
