Come and enjoy a short-term choir experience for adults: six rehearsals followed by a relaxed public performance for family and friends. 'Somewhere' will explore repertoire, in a range of genre, about places known and imagined, far-flung continents, places closer to home, and the secret spaces within ourselves. Music reading ability is useful, but not essential. However, in fairness to others, you definitely DO need to have experience singing harmony parts (and yes, school choirs count). If you're unsure whether this series is a good fit for you, please get in touch with lucy@justsingsomething.com Singing in a choir is a team effort, so your availability for the concert on Friday 20th June in Ringwood, is a requirement. You should ideally be able to attend all rehearsals, as absences inhibit the whole group's capacity to progress. Online bookings are essential to enable the sourcing, purchase and distribution of all choral arrangements. Music purchases can only be finalised once there's a clear indication of vocal parts represented, and the number of licensed copies required. Digital copies of the music will be provided via email four or five days prior to the first rehearsal. Participants can opt to print their own hard copy, or request the provision of printed copy (yours to keep) for an additional cost ($20pp). Please select your registration type based on your printing requirements. You will need to provide a BLACK folder with plastic inserts (at least 40 sheet capacity) in which to store your own music for the rehearsals and performance. For the concert we will wear all black, with small details to follow in rehearsal. If you have not received your music and event information by Saturday 10th May, please check your SPAM folder before making contact. This series is being run consecutively with another choir series in Croydon ("Somebody"). Both choirs will converge in a single performance, presenting their own, and combined repertoire. If you are unable or unwilling to attend the performance, in Ringwood, on the 20th June, please do not register for this choir series. Bookings close at 9am on Friday 9th May. Cancellation Policy
If cancellation is received fewer than 7 days before the start date, a full refund is not possible due to costs incurred (including venue hire, music selections and purchases, backing track purchases, insurance, website booking fees, credit card fees, printing costs, administrative costs). However, a credit for 50% of the amount paid will be issued for use at a future event (valid for 12 months). If 'Just Sing Something' cancels the event at any time, all bookings will be refunded in full.
