Five-week series with concert
Available spots
Service Description
Come and join us, for the final series of the year, singing songs of home. Home is a theme drenched with memory, traditions, joy, regret, and storytelling. Memories of home can be complicated, but they help inform what we believe, who we become, and what we hold dear. Our repertoire will include gospel, pop, musical theatre & rock ballads, with a mix of a cappella and accompanied songs. Our learning style will be a hybrid of by-ear and music reading. Participants should have previous harmony-singing experience (and yes, school choirs absolutely count). You must be willing and available to perform at a relaxed concert at the conclusion of the series, on Friday 15th November. We will meet to sing in Catomore Hall at Wyreena Community Arts Centre in Croydon. The hall opens into an oak courtyard and is accessible by a covered walkway from the onsite carpark. Seating is available, and toilet facilities are directly accessible from inside Catomore Hall. One week prior to the series, those who have booked online will receive an email containing detailed information and songsheets to print for personal use. You are asked to print your own music and bring them to each rehearsal. If you haven't received this material at least 5-days before the first session, please, first check your spam folder, and then contact lucy@justsingsomething.com.
