Cohen's Halleluia (Eltham)

Service Description

Just Sing Something invites you to come and enjoy singing, Leonard Cohen's Halleluia. This wonderful song has been covered by artists across decades, genres, and generations, and remains one of the world’s most beloved tunes. We will be learning a four-part harmony arrangement of Halleluia. Previous harmony-singing experience is useful, but not essential. There is no performance connected to this event, but you are welcome to record our final result at the end of the evening on your device, to take home and relive again. Online bookings are essential to receive a digital copy of the song arrangement we are learning by email, prior to the session. You will be asked to print your own hardcopy to bring with you to the session for reference. The cost of purchasing the music, and copyright permission, is included in the cost of this session, and your self-printed copy is yours to keep. You will receive detailed event information, including a pdf of the music for you to print, six days before the event. By this date, most cancellations have been received enabling the calculation of digital music copies to be purchased on your behalf. Check your email inbox (and SPAM folder) on the evening of Friday 20th February. This event is designed with adults in mind, but older children who are keen singers may also enjoy this event. The Cohen's Halleluia event was held in Ringwood in 2024, and is now being offered at the newly renovated multi-purpose space at Eltham-Montmorency Uniting Church. People who would like to support the viability of further events in this geographical area are particularly encouraged to book in.
